Green Sabre

Project under NDA. The client submitted a design proposal to come up with a safer and more sustainable solution to a tool commonly used in their specialism.

Specifications within the application of this tool had to be considered throughout the design process, however the overall form was open to interpretation.

The client had a particular company they wanted to target for licensing the idea, and therefore wanted the logo and branding behind the product to closely resemble the branding style of their potential investor, SMS.

The design focused on creating a compact, adaptable tool that balances performance with straightforward everyday use. Particular attention was given to ergonomics, flexible working positions and intuitive interaction, ensuring the product could be quickly configured for different tasks without unnecessary complexity.

The concept also explored rapid heat-up, efficient use of readily available battery technology, integrated task lighting and tool-free accessory changes, with each element considered as part of a simple, cohesive user experience.

Due to NDA restrictions, specific technical and functional details cannot be disclosed, but the project centred on translating demanding performance requirements into a practical and well-resolved physical product.
